Requirements & Skills

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of South Dakota.
  • Proven experience in Medical-Surgical and Obstetrics nursing settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in both Medical-Surgical and Obstetrics units.
  • Monitor patient conditions closely and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and uphold best practices in patient care.
  • Support and mentor junior nursing staff and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted RN license in South Dakota.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in Medical-Surgical and Obstetrics nursing environments.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and often demanding clinical settings.

Hourly Rate: $67.00 - $79.00
