Requirements and Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Experience or strong interest in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby nursing
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding support
- Accurately document patient care and maintain detailed medical records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Wisconsin is mandatory
- Previous experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or Mother-Baby nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based nursing practices
