Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cath Lab Tech
- Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment
- Ability to prepare, operate, and troubleshoot cath lab machinery and imaging devices
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Effective communication and patient care skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Current certification relevant to Cath Lab operations (e.g., RCIS preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures
- Operate angiographic and monitoring equipment to capture detailed images
- Prepare catheterization laboratory and ensure all equipment is sterilized and functional
- Monitor patient vital signs and maintain accurate procedural records
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care before, during, and after interventions
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as necessary to support lab operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or willingness to obtain
- Prior experience in a cath lab setting strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations
Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $75.00 to $89.00 based on experience and qualifications.
