Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cath Lab Tech
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment
  • Ability to prepare, operate, and troubleshoot cath lab machinery and imaging devices
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control standards
  • Effective communication and patient care skills
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Current certification relevant to Cath Lab operations (e.g., RCIS preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures
  • Operate angiographic and monitoring equipment to capture detailed images
  • Prepare catheterization laboratory and ensure all equipment is sterilized and functional
  • Monitor patient vital signs and maintain accurate procedural records
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols throughout all procedures
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care before, during, and after interventions
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as necessary to support lab operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or willingness to obtain
  • Prior experience in a cath lab setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations

Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $75.00 to $89.00 based on experience and qualifications.
