Requirements and Skills
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
- Proven experience in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures
- Thorough knowledge of sterile techniques and safety protocols in the cath lab setting
- Ability to operate imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures
- Prepare and maintain catheterization lab equipment and sterile field
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment to obtain clear diagnostic images
- Monitor patient status and maintain accurate procedural documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education and support related to cardiac procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Accredited certification as a Cath Lab Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, and Cardiovascular Technologist
