Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid licensure or certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR/Vascular Tech)
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment used in interventional radiology procedures
- Strong knowledge of vascular and IR protocols, patient preparation, and safety practices
- Ability to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic procedures
- Excellent patient communication and care skills
- Familiarity with sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain interventional radiology equipment and work areas for procedures
- Assist physicians during IR procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient safety
- Perform diagnostic imaging and operate fluoroscopic equipment in vascular and non-vascular interventions
- Monitor patient conditions and assist with positioning and care throughout the procedure
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with institutional policies
- Participate in the training and mentoring of new staff as appropriate
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program with additional specialization in interventional radiology preferred
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in vascular/interventional radiography or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in an interventional radiology setting is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate range of $78.00 - $92.00, paid weekly through Quick2Hire staffing agency.
