Requirements & Skills

  • Current and valid licensure or certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR/Vascular Tech)
  • Proficiency in operating imaging equipment used in interventional radiology procedures
  • Strong knowledge of vascular and IR protocols, patient preparation, and safety practices
  • Ability to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic procedures
  • Excellent patient communication and care skills
  • Familiarity with sterile techniques and infection control standards
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain interventional radiology equipment and work areas for procedures
  • Assist physicians during IR procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient safety
  • Perform diagnostic imaging and operate fluoroscopic equipment in vascular and non-vascular interventions
  • Monitor patient conditions and assist with positioning and care throughout the procedure
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and equipment maintenance
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with institutional policies
  • Participate in the training and mentoring of new staff as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program with additional specialization in interventional radiology preferred
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in vascular/interventional radiography or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in an interventional radiology setting is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate range of $78.00 - $92.00, paid weekly through Quick2Hire staffing agency.
