Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby nursing care
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns
- Strong clinical skills in maternal and neonatal assessment and monitoring
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Ability to respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical care when necessary
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and assess patient progress throughout labor and delivery
- Assist with delivery procedures and provide support during childbirth
- Educate and support new mothers regarding newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare standards and protocols
- Respond to obstetric emergencies with professionalism and efficiency
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin, in good standing
- Proven experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification required; NRP certification preferred
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment
