Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in maternal and neonatal care
- Ability to monitor fetal well-being and manage labor progress effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient- and family-centered care
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and healthcare technology
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergencies in the L&D unit
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and condition throughout labor and delivery process
- Assist physicians and midwives during delivery procedures and emergency interventions
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care practices
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality outcomes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients in the L&D unit
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Nebraska
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred
- Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience or relevant clinical rotations highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical nursing standards
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: $77.00 - $91.00 per hour
