Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Proven experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical skills specific to maternal and newborn care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to support patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively in high-pressure delivery and emergency situations
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor fetal wellbeing and maternal vital signs continuously, recognizing and responding to any complications
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe delivery outcomes
- Educate patients and families on prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care, including newborn care practices
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Adhere to infection control policies, safety protocols, and patient care standards at all times
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin
- Previous experience in Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery nursing strongly preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical settings
- Compassionate approach and dedication to patient-centered care
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $66.00 - $79.00
