Requirements & Skills
- Current and active RN licensure in the state of Minnesota
- Experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide comprehensive patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the childbirth process
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using appropriate assessment tools and clinical judgment
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care plans
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical interventions
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and complications, adhering to established protocols
- Assist with procedures and support the team during deliveries and cesarean sections as required
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Proven experience in OB/L&D nursing roles
- BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP certification preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in maternal and newborn care
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $78.00 - $92.00
