Shift & Schedule
- Flexible shifts available within Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery units
- Hours and specific schedule details will be coordinated with the Quick2Hire team to match your preferences and unit needs
Requirements & Skills
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current experience and proficiency in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong clinical assessment skills specific to maternal and neonatal care
- Ability to provide compassionate patient and family-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with department policies, safety protocols, and quality standards
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the physical and emotional status of mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding the childbirth process, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist with interventions as needed
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Minnesota
- Prior experience in OB/L&D nursing strongly preferred
- Certification in BLS and ACLS is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering culturally sensitive and patient-centered care
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $78.00 - $92.00
