Requirements and Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Proven experience working in an Emergency Room or acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room environment
- Perform rapid assessments and triage patients effectively
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Document all patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately and promptly
- Respond promptly to emergency situations following established protocols
- Educate patients and families regarding their conditions and post-care instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin is required
- Emergency Nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, often high-stress environment
