About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract in Vermillion, SD. This position is within a premier Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Skilled Nursing RN, you will provide comprehensive care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, treatments, and personal care as prescribed, maintaining strict adherence to safety and professional standards.
Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct ongoing physical and cognitive assessments of residents, closely monitoring for any changes in condition and reporting updates to physicians and family members when necessary.
Care Planning: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans for residents.
Emergency Response: Promptly identify and respond to medical emergencies, providing life-support measures and coordinating with emergency services as required.
Documentation: Maintain precise, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) regarding resident care, medication administration, and clinical progress.
Supervision: Provide clinical guidance and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on shift to ensure the highest standard of care.
Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience (LTC/SNF clinical experience preferred).
Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of South Dakota or a valid Compact/Multistate license.
Certifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Availability: Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including a rotation of every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate, resident-first mindset.
