GLOBAL HOME HOSPICE SERVICE INC is looking for Per Diem LVN / Licensed Vocational Nurses with weekend availability to join our team!

Job Details: PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A PER DIEM ROLE

Again, this listing is for a per diem LVN nurse.

A LVN / Licensed Vocational Nurse is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's needs. The team is looking for dedicated individuals with a passion for care and values honesty and commitment.

Requirements:

Graduated from an accredited Vocational Nurses Program.

Currently licensed as a LVN / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of California.

Available on the weekends

CPR

California Driver's License

Auto Insurance

Physical Exam, TB Test or Chest Xray

Professional Liability Insurance

Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Understands philosophy of the hospice concept. Also understand needs of the terminally ill.

Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provides direct patient care as defined in the California State Nurse Practice Act

Implements current nursing practices following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.

Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care.

Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs to the interdisciplinary group.

Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.

Calls the Medical Director if there is a new order for medications.

Writes the doctor's order and order the medication from the Pharmacy.

Compensation: $45- $50 per visit

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Weekly schedule:

Monday to Friday / Weekends

Work Location: On the road

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Visiting Nurse to provide high-quality healthcare services to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical procedures and possess exceptional patient care skills.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct physical examinations and assessments

- Provide skilled nursing care, including tube feeding, ventilator care, and airway management

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

- Monitor and record vital signs of patients

- Perform pediatric care as needed

- Develop and implement individualized care plans

- Educate patients and families on proper healthcare practices

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care

- Ensure infection control measures are strictly followed

- Assist in discharge planning for patients transitioning from hospital to home care

Skills:

- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and assessments

- Experience with tube feeding, ventilator care, and airway management

- Knowledge of pediatric care practices

- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding system

- Strong understanding of infection control protocols

- Ability to perform vital sign monitoring accurately

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and family support
