Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare pediatric team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and Certified Medical Assistant, where your expertise pediatrics will directly impact patient care and operational excellence. Duties
Perform pediatric patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current medications using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Assist physicians and healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support during patient visits.
Manage and update medical documentation accurately, including medical records, ICD coding, and detailed notes within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).
Support patient care by monitoring physiology parameters, assisting with anatomy-related procedures, and providing compassionate pediatric patient services.
Conduct routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection, wound care assistance, immunizations, vital signs assessment in a clinical outpatient office setting and providing phone triage to the parent.
Maintain a clean, organized medical office environment while adhering to infection control protocols and clinical office standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the clinical office setting to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient pediatric medical care delivery.
Qualifications
Valid LVN license or equivalent certification with current state licensure.
Medical Assistant Certification.
Proven experience in medical assisting within clinical office setting, urgent care, or working as the certified LVN.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pediatrics, immunizations, anatomy, and ICD coding standards.
Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
Experience is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent patient service while managing medical documentation accurately.
Familiarity with pediatric experience protocols and Level I trauma center procedures is beneficial.
