LifeScape is seeking a talented candidate to join our collaborative, interdisciplinary team as a Full-time Patient Care Technician role in our pediatric, specialty hospital location. Job Responsibilities would look like:

Provide personal hygiene for children by assisting with their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, skin care, ambulation, etc.

Offer activities that are essential for daily living by helping with laundry, making of their bed, cleaning of their personal space

Performs and records in patients' charts, basic nursing care procedures such as taking vital signs, recording intake & output, weighing patients and repositioning

Follow and implement care plan, assisting in the acquisition of resources required to achieve the individual’s goals. Implement individualized care plans and offer support to patients to maintain their dignity, privacy, and comfort

Assists with patients' medical needs under the direction of nursing staff, communicating with appropriate medical staff

Communicate changes in supports/services and training objectives in the service plan, as well as any significant changes/concerns in the individual’s life, to team members

Works closely with Therapy Department on follow through of patients' treatment plans

Base pay starting at $19.25/hour and goes up with experience.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for some positions may be necessary. Some positions may require training/testing to drive accessible vehicles. Not all areas require a driver’s license.

Prior experience working with medically complex or rehabilitative patients is preferred.

Certification (CNA) is preferred but NOT required.

Successful completion and certification in training provided by agency within specific time allotment is required.

All positions require a clear background check and drug screen upon conditional offer.
