About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Post Partum Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized postpartum care to mothers and their newborns across various healthcare settings in,. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient assessment skills, and the flexibility to adapt to diverse environments. As a Travel Post Partum RN, you will deliver high-quality nursing care, support maternal-infant health, and ensure compliance with all safety and documentation standards. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive postpartum nursing care to mothers and infants in hospital, outpatient, or community settings.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and developmental evaluations.
Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, postpartum recovery, and family planning.
Administer medications and treatments such as IV infusions, suturing, and wound care following aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans aligned with best practices and patient needs.
Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
Assist with neonatal resuscitation procedures and monitor neonatal vital signs as required.
Support discharge planning by providing education on postpartum health maintenance and connecting families with community resources.
Requirements
Certification: RN licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or hold a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Certification: ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
Certification: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
Certification: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Experience: Minimum of one year of recent Post Partum experience and 2 years experience as a RN
Experience: Antepartum, Labor & Delivery (L&D), postpartum, and newborn care in a level 1 trauma setting
Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from an accredited program (preferred)
Skills: Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
Skills: Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
Skills: Ability to maintain good working relationships
Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills
Skills: Basic computer skills
