About This Position

Detox Unit Assistant (DUA) – Full-Time Night Shift

Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (Full-Time)

Evergreen Detox is seeking a dependable, motivated Detox Unit Assistant (DUA) to join our overnight team in our 16-bed medical detox facility. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and understands the importance of both patient care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

A strong work ethic and willingness to stay productive throughout the shift.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning electronic medical record (EMR) software.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the nursing team.

A professional, dependable, and positive attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient care environment through routine janitorial and housekeeping duties.

Complete patient admissions by accurately entering information into the electronic medical record.

Obtain required patient signatures and documentation.

Prepare and send required insurance notifications and other electronic communications.

Complete assigned documentation accurately and on time.

Support nursing staff with non-clinical patient care duties as needed.

Assist in maintaining a therapeutic, welcoming environment for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

A compassionate understanding of substance use disorders

Valid Washington State Driver’s License, acceptable driving record and be able to operate a company vehicle without restriction.

Washington State Department of Health Certified Nursing Assistant a plus

Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
