About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner - Obstetrics/Gynecology, Physician Assistant - Gynecology for our client in Washington!
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Gynecologic Oncology coverage, supporting overlapping maternity leaves through clinic, operating room, and perioperative patient care.
Serve as a first assist during gynecologic oncology procedures, including robotic surgeries utilizing the DaVinci Surgical System.
Perform comprehensive gynecologic evaluations, pelvic exams, and manage patients with gynecologic oncology conditions and diseases of the pelvic region.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical and oncology teams while managing an average of 6–12 patients per shift and documenting care in Epic EMR.
Qualifications
Active Washington state license or active IMLC membership required.
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
Extensive experience in Gynecologic Oncology, standard gynecologic care, pelvic examinations, and diseases of the pelvic region.
Required first assist experience, including demonstrated proficiency assisting with robotic procedures using the DaVinci Surgical System.
Schedule
Coverage Needed: Full-time coverage from August 2026 through February 2027, working four weeks per month.
Shift Structure: Four 10-hour daytime shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM); Monday through Wednesday in the operating room, Thursday off, and Friday dedicated to clinic and administrative responsibilities.
Call Requirements: Scheduled clinical hours only with no additional call requirements.
Credentialing Time Frame: 30–60 days (Temporary privileges are available).
Skills
Advanced expertise in Gynecologic Oncology, perioperative management, and comprehensive gynecologic patient care.
Strong first assist capabilities with extensive experience supporting complex gynecologic and robotic surgical procedures.
Proficiency with Epic EMR and excellent clinical documentation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Exceptional communication, teamwork, and organizational skills while coordinating care across surgical, oncology, and clinic environments.
All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
