About This Position
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Caregivers to provide exceptional support to residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory-related conditions. This role is vital in creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, assisted living, or long-term care settings, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with memory impairments. A background in home & community care, nursing home experience, or working with people with disabilities is highly valued. Responsibilities
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document administration accurately using EMR systems
Monitor vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals promptly
Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Support residents during meals, including meal serving and feeding assistance as needed
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties within resident areas
Observe behavioral changes or symptoms related to dementia or other cognitive impairments and implement appropriate behavior management strategies
Document care provided accurately in compliance with facility policies and regulations
Requirements
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care is preferred
Active CNA/HCA License required
Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care best practices
Mental Health & Dementia Certification preferred, but required within 120 days of hire
Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required
Foor Handlers Permit required
Experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and use of EMR systems is preferred
Ability to work compassionately with seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical ability to assist with resident mobility
A genuine passion for caregiving and improving residents’ quality of life

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
