About This Position
We are looking for a CNA/Nursing Tech for our Preop/PACU department to help care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. The Grand Island Surgery Center provides a fun family-oriented atmosphere with competitive wages and benefits program. No night shifts, weekends, holidays, or call.
Duties:
- Assist nurses and medical staff in providing patient care and support
- Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
- Assist with patient mobility, including dressing, transferring and lifting patients
- Prepare and maintain patient rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Nurse Technician training program or relevant certification preferred but not required.
- Experience working with children or in a pediatric setting is a plus
-Bilingual is a plus
- Familiarity with medical equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure in emergency situations
