About This Position
Ro Health is looking for a dedicated LVN to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Amarillo, TX!
This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.
Details:
Location: Post, TX
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: AM
Rotating Schedule, 4 days on
Employment Type: Contract
Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!
Qualifications:
Active Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license (in good standing)
BLS Certification
Ability to pass a strict background check
Prior corrections is required!
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections, as prescribed
Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to RNs or medical providers
Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments
Support patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
Conduct health screenings and collect patient medical history
Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary
Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care
Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
Ensure compliance with CDCR policies, state regulations, and facility protocols
