An exciting opportunity exists for a Physician Assistant to join our Pain Management Practice in South Austin.
SUMMARY: Provides and manages direct health care for Interventional Pain Practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for variety of Pain Management Patients.
Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
Refers patients to specialists and to other specialists as appropriate.
Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of support staff as required.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current PA license in the State of Texas (Active)
Personal Injury experience preferred, but not a must. New grads can apply.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
