Key Qualifications:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, with eligibility to practice in California
Previous experience in a school setting highly desired
Demonstrated ability to work with K-12th grade students with diverse needs
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist, staff, and school community
Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and initiative
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Assist with implementing and tracking individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
Support data collection, progress reporting, and documentation for each student on caseload
Collaborate with classroom teachers and families to promote student skill development and generalization of therapy techniques
Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed
This role offers competitive hourly rates starting at $40 per hour, commensurate with experience. The contract is full-time with the potential for renewal based on performance and fit within the team.
