Responsibilities
Provide direct 1:1 licensed nursing care for a student in a school setting per district guidelines.
Monitor student health, administer medications per physician orders, and document care in health records.
Triage health concerns, perform basic nursing assessments, and respond to health incidents following school policy.
Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, and families to implement care plans and communicate changes.
Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation; report to district nursing staff as required.
Adhere to district pre-approval requirements for overtime or hours beyond standard daily/weekly limits; reporting hours and location may vary.
Requirements
Active LPN license in Washington state
Current CPR/BLS certification
Ability to provide 1:1 nursing care in a school setting
Experience in pediatric nursing or school health setting preferred
Eligibility to work in the United States; ability to obtain district clearance as required
Flexibility to work daytime hours and adapt to district scheduling with potential variation
