CNA/PCA Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our tenants, ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various healthcare settings and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our care. On Call position are Guaranteed and hours but are first to pick up open shifts in the schedule each pay period. Casual/Call team members are considered for open shifts prior to hiring new team members and are required to pick up two shifts a month if available.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities for tenants, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
Monitor and document vital signs and health status changes in accordance with care plans.
Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment
Maintain a clean and safe environment for tenants, adhering to infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with tenants, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
Administer medications as prescribed while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or familiarity in one or more of the following areas:
Long-term care experience, including assisted living or nursing home settings.
Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
Knowledge of medical office procedures, including EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Experience in geriatrics, hospice care, or home/community care settings.
