About the Role
As an ICU Registered Nurse, you'll provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients experiencing life-threatening illnesses, injuries, or post-operative complications. You will utilize advanced clinical skills to assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and respond rapidly to changes in patient status.
Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment and cardiac monitoring systems
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and specialized treatments
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide patient and family education and support during critical care situations
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
Support quality patient outcomes through evidence-based nursing practices
Minimum Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to thrive in high-acuity healthcare environments
