Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare organization as the Director of Nursing Services, a pivotal leadership role dedicated to ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence within our long-term care, assisted living, and home health environments. In this role, you will oversee nursing operations, foster a culture of compliance and compassion, and lead a team of dedicated nursing professionals. Your expertise will drive quality improvement initiatives, ensure regulatory adherence, and promote a safe, caring environment for residents and patients alike. Responsibilities

Lead and manage all nursing staff across multiple care settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, home health agencies, and hospice care programs.

Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident and patient needs while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations such as Medicare and long-term care standards.

Oversee clinical operations including documentation review, medical records management, and adherence to HIPAA privacy standards.

Supervise the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflow.

Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, and other applicable laws; prepare for inspections and audits proactively.

Provide administrative clinical supervision by overseeing staff scheduling, shift management, and resource allocation to optimize patient care delivery.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement through staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in patient care.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop memory care programs and specialized care plans for residents with cognitive impairments.

Promote a safe environment by implementing infection control protocols and managing incident reports effectively.

Support management in budget planning related to nursing supplies, staffing needs, and regulatory compliance costs.

Header: Skills

Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments with proven leadership in nurse management roles.

Strong background in nursing administration with supervising experience across diverse healthcare settings such as home health agencies or hospice programs.

Proficiency in managing EMR/EHR systems along with medical records documentation review to ensure accuracy and compliance.

In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, HIPAA standards, and regulatory compliance processes.

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while managing shift schedules and operational workflows.

Excellent understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, memory care strategies, and patient-centered care approaches.

Skilled in developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs while ensuring quality assurance standards are met or exceeded.

Strong leadership qualities with experience in coaching staff on best practices for patient care and documentation review.

Ability to navigate complex healthcare regulations confidently while fostering a culture of safety and compassion among staff members.

Pay: $158,833.52 - $181,068.34 per year
