Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Obstetrics Acute Care

6/1/2026 - 8/9/2026

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36–48 hours per week
Job Type: Travel / Contract

Weekly Gross Pay:

3 x 12 shifts: $2,866

4 x 12 Shifts: $3,118

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrics Acute Care RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care to maternity patients in the antepartum and postpartum setting, excluding labor and delivery.

Unit Overview

Antepartum (antenatal) care for high-risk pregnancy patients

Postpartum (postnatal) care for mothers and newborns

Care of normal newborns

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred

Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Ca.

AHA Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification

Department Specific License/Certifications:

AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required

AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS: Required

Essential Functions:

Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient?s situation.

Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.

Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.

Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Clinical Skills Required:

Ability to assume care of post-operative recovery patients from Labor & Delivery

Experience assisting in cesarean section deliveries, including the ability to receive ("catch") the newborn

Strong competency in maternal and newborn care in acute obstetric settings
