Position Overview
Tribal Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment working straight night shifts in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages.
Assignment Details
Target Start Date: Early to Mid-September
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
Shift: Straight Nights
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
Assess, prioritize, and provide emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other treatments as ordered.
Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes in status.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
Requirements
Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or compact license accepted)
BLS
ACLS
PALS
TNCC
Recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
Experience with electronic medical records preferred
Preferred Experience
Critical Access Hospital experience
Rural Emergency Department experience
Previous travel nursing experience
