Duties
Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes while following strict protocols and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans.
Manage complex medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, airway management, and sterile processing techniques.
Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide specialized care for patients with acute pain, infectious diseases, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring hospice or palliative services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, or home settings.
Perform triage assessments for urgent medical issues and coordinate appropriate interventions within emergency room or urgent care environments.
Support patients with developmental disabilities or those in memory or geriatric care by applying tailored communication strategies and therapeutic interventions.
Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection/processing and medical imaging procedures when necessary.
Educate patients and their families about health management strategies including nutrition, medication administration, and post-discharge care instructions.
