As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents.
Responsibilities
Works as part of the nursing team in the facility.
Provides direct care to residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
Assisting and providing routine nursing care to all team members.
Responsible for routine patient care including medication/registry maintenance, record keeping, medical monitoring, and otherwise assisting in patient care.
Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the facility’s patient care plan.
Assisting patients with wanting and needing assistance with everyday living activities, including eating, bathing, dressing themselves, using public toilets, etc. in a safe manner.
Maintains regular communication with team, facility administration, and the treatment team at large regarding the health and safety of the residents we serve.
Conducts periodic reviews of patient schedules with regards to scheduled visits by medical staff.
Assists in training other team members as well as providing education to patients regarding their treatment options and their legal rights in regard to entering or maintaining into a substance use disorder treatment program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Current Riverside Village Healthcare Ctr license in good standing.
Experience working with chemical dependency or other drug problems strongly preferred.
Experience with medical equipment and technology preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Must be able to pass our ongoing drug test and background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
