About This Position
Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Bilingual, Spanish speaking), where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care across diverse medical settings. Responsibilities
Perform detailed patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to establish accurate diagnoses.
Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and HIPAA regulations.
Conduct specialized procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, and dermal fillers when appropriate.
Utilize electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Cerner) for precise documentation of medical records, notes, and billing codes including CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and case management.
Provide telehealth consultations and participate in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices.
Assist with diagnostic evaluations using sonography or laboratory specimen collection/processing to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Skills
Extensive experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and hospice & palliative medicine.
Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or other EMR/EHR systems for seamless medical documentation and workflow management.
Skilled in performing advanced procedures such as spinal taps, gastrostomy tube feeding, airway management, and cardiac catheterization.
Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis including ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and CPT coding for billing accuracy.
Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma center settings; hospital medicine or emergency medicine background preferred.
Ability to perform triage assessments in urgent care or outpatient environments; experience with acute pain management and infection control is highly valued.
Familiarity with occupational health protocols, Workers' compensation law, DME (Durable Medical Equipment), and post-acute care processes.
