Bilingual Back Office Medical Assistant

West Coast Foot & Ankle is seeking a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused Back Office Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This position will support our Palm Springs and Palm Desert locations, and candidates must be comfortable working at multiple locations as needed.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, and takes pride in helping the clinical team provide an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Room patients and prepare them for examination and treatment
Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other patient information
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and in-office treatments
Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam and procedure rooms
Assist with patient flow to help keep the clinic running efficiently
Provide patients with instructions and information as directed by the provider
Document information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow infection-control, sterilization, and patient-safety procedures
Assist with clinical supplies and inventory
Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and other team members
Travel between the Palm Springs and Palm Desert offices as scheduling and operational needs require
Perform other back-office duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish – required
Medical Assistant experience preferred
Medical Assistant certification is a plus
Previous experience in a medical office, specialty practice, podiatry, or similar clinical environment is preferred
Strong communication and patient-service skills
Comfortable working directly with patients and assisting with clinical procedures
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy medical practice
Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented
Comfortable learning and using electronic medical record systems
Ability and willingness to work at both Palm Springs and Palm Desert locations
Compensation
Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
Pay range: $18.00–$25.00 per hour
Compensation within the range will be based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
