About This Position
Position Overview
GSK Solutions Inc. is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for a six-month contract assignment in Lubbock, Texas. The LVN will provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, monitor patients, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Schedule
Training:
For the first five weeks, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Regular Schedule:
2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Shifts may vary based on staffing needs.
Must be available to work every other weekend.
32 hours per week are guaranteed.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care according to established standards and procedures.
Administer medications and perform prescribed treatments.
Provide medication education as appropriate.
Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the appropriate nursing staff.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
Complete required computer data entry.
Work under the direction of the Unit RN and Nurse Manager.
Perform nursing procedures such as G-tube care, enteral feeding, Foley catheter care, and tracheostomy care.
Assist with other complex patient-care needs as assigned.
Requirements
Current Texas LVN license.
At least one year of direct-care nursing experience; two or more years preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Valid photo identification.
Current TB documentation.
Copy of current nursing license.
Successful completion of a urine drug screen and background check.
Successful completion of an FBI fingerprint background check.
COVID-19 testing with a negative result is required; testing is provided at the worksite.
Experience with G-tubes, enteral feeding, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, or other advanced nursing skills is preferred.
Benefits and Additional Information
This is a W-2 contract position with 32 guaranteed hours per week. Overtime is paid at $63 per hour for hours worked over 40 in a week. Required facility-provided fingerprinting and COVID-19 testing are available as part of the clearance process.
Pay: Up to $42.00 per hour
