Job Description
Renal Associates, PC is seeking a Part-Time Float Clinical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered nephrology and internal medicine/pediatrics practice. This versatile position provides support across multiple clinic areas, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, labeling, and processing according to CLIA and OSHA standards.
Provide cross-coverage for clinical staff in outpatient clinic and outreach locations.
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document patient history in the EHR.
Accurately obtain manual vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse.
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education.
Maintain clean and stocked exam and phlebotomy rooms.
Ensure accurate and timely entry of lab and diagnostic orders.
Support front desk and back-office workflow when needed, including scheduling, phone triage, and patient communication.
Follow infection control, HIPAA, and clinic safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
Prior outpatient clinic experience preferred.
Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing clinic needs.
Commitment to patient confidentiality, professionalism, and teamwork.
Work Schedule & Compensation
Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
Flexible schedule, Monday through Friday.
No weekend or holiday call coverage required.
