Job Details
We are seeking an experienced NICU/Pediatric Transport Registered Nurse to support ground transportation of neonatal and pediatric patients. The RN will work as part of a transport team with Respiratory Therapists and Advanced Practice Providers to safely transfer critically ill infants and children from surrounding hospitals, emergency departments, L&D, NICUs, and other units to a higher level of care.
The RN may also float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units to provide bedside nursing support when needed.

Job Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call: No call required
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 1 year of relevant experience required
Previous NICU/PICU experience
Previous ground transport experience is required
Experience caring for neonatal and pediatric patients
Epic charting experience required
Active Compact RN License in hand at submission, if applicable
BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
Charge nurse experience preferred
Ability to work every other weekend
Strong clinical judgment and emergency response skills
Willingness to float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units as needed
Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality nursing care during ground transportation of neonatal and pediatric patients.
Assess and continuously monitor critically ill infants and children during transport.
Collaborate with Respiratory Therapists and Advanced Practice Providers during patient transfers.
Manage ventilated patients, airways, oxygen therapy, and respiratory support.
Monitor and manage IVs, central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and other critical-care equipment.
Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, and pediatric medications as ordered.
Interpret vital signs, arterial blood gases, and cardiac rhythms.
Provide care for patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ventilator support, and airway suctioning.
Perform and maintain appropriate infection-control and isolation precautions.
Provide bedside nursing care in NICU, PICU, or Pediatric units when assigned.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using Epic.
Ensure transport equipment is properly prepared and functioning before patient transfers.
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients' families, and receiving facilities.
Pay: $2,400.00 - $2,700.00 per week
