Description
American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Cardiology clinic setting requiring 1+ year of clinic experience and current LPN license (if applicable).
Details
Work in the Heart and Vascular Institute clinic setting
Clinic sees up to 22 patients per day
Patient population includes General Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Surgery cases
Unit is supported by an EKG tech, three Clinical Assistants (1 per 10 rooms), LPN, Lead RN, and Nursing Manager
Uses Epic EMR system
Scheduled for 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
No weekend rotation required
No on-call requirements
May float within the Cardiology clinic and provide outreach coverage for HVI providers as needed
Holiday coverage required for 2 of 4 designated holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving
Requirements
Current LPN license required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of clinic experience required
BLS certification required
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
Cardiology experience preferred but not required
Epic EMR experience required
Ability to work independently with strong organizational and communication skills
Additional Information
First-time travelers will be considered, with preference for candidates who have any clinic experience
Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Former permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
Facility orientation follows standard protocol, plus 3-4 days on-unit training side by side with a nurse
Navy blue scrubs required
Free parking available on-site
Facility prefers contract extensions to total 13 weeks for any full week of time off requested
Facility is known for being traveler-friendly and frequently renews traveler contracts
