Our Lady of the Angels (OLA) campus, a convent, is committed to serving their community members living with memory loss by providing quality person-centered care in a compassionate and enriching environment.
OLA is seeking a full-time and part-time LPNs and/or RNs to join this beautiful, mission driven campus.
Duties
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
Prepare equipment and aid the physician during treatments and examinations of residents.
Observe residents & record significant conditions and reactions.
Notify supervisor and/or physician, plus family/next-of-kin of resident’s condition, reaction to medication, treatments and significant incidents/changes.
Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess the resident's condition.
Participate in the orientation and training of nursing assistants.
May act as Charge Nurse under RN supervision by:
Observing techniques and services rendered by nursing staff.
Identifying problem areas such as absenteeism, etc.
Preparing a work schedule and assigning duties to nursing staff.
Participates in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly Patient Care Conferences, staff meetings, and Quality Assurance activities
Qualifications
Active LPN or RN License in the state of WI.
Prior long-term care experience required.
