Position Summary – Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care to individual patients or assigned groups according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff.
Coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Preferred: Acute care facility experience.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
Required: CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Required: AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS.
Required: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS.
Key Responsibilities
Collect relevant data regarding the patient's health or situation.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
Develop care plans and prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward achieving outcomes.
Identify appropriate outcomes for patients or their situations.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide safe, healing, humane, and caring patient care.
Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
Provide health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
Perform other assigned job-related duties.
