This is a Tier 1 position, averaging 30-36 hours per week.
Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a compassionate and experienced Infusion Registered Nurse to join our dedicated oncology team in Kearney, NE.
The Kearney Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care in a modern, welcoming environment. This new center combines advanced oncology treatments, cutting-edge technology, and a compassionate approach to care, ensuring that patients in Kearney and central Nebraska receive the highest standard of treatment.
In this rewarding role, you'll be a key part of delivering compassionate, expert care to patients receiving life-changing cancer treatment.
What You'll Do
Provide general nursing care and administer prescribed chemotherapy and infusion treatments in a welcoming outpatient setting
Monitor patient response, record observations, and report any concerns or changes to the physician
Educate patients and families about medications, treatment plans, wellness, and side effects
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, patient charts, and test results
Ensure all infusion-related supplies, medications, and equipment are well-stocked and properly maintained
Answer and triage treatment-related phone calls from patients with professionalism and empathy
What We're Looking For
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Nebraska
CPR certification required
Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in oncology, infusion, or critical care
BSN or OCN certification preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships with patients and families
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to clinical excellence
Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of oncology, infusion therapy, and patient safety (including OSHA and HIPAA compliance)
Competency in medication dosage calculation and safe administration techniques
Ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and effectively in high-stress situations
Familiarity with electronic health records and medical documentation practices
Awareness of community resources, team-based care, and patient advocacy
Schedule
Day shift only
Monday through Friday
No weekends, no holidays
