About This Position
Full‑time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position serving a rural community in Spearfish, South Dakota. The role supports occupational therapy teams by delivering individualized treatment plans and monitoring patient progress. Candidates will help improve mobility and daily living independence for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to deliver individualized treatment plans
Assist patients in improving mobility, independence, and daily living activities
Monitor patient progress and document therapeutic outcomes
Educate patients and families on exercises and home treatment programs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high‑quality patient care
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and facility guidelines
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current South Dakota COTA license or eligibility to obtain
NBCOT certification
BLS certification
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in a therapy or rehabilitation setting
