About This Position
Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry | 3x12 Days/Nights | 36 Hours
Position Details:
Shift: 3x12 Days & Nights
Schedule: 36 hours/week
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Facility: 379-bed Short-Term Acute Care Hospital
Trauma Level: Level II
EMR: Epic
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
On-Call: None
Floating: Required to other acute care units within the hospital and nearby sister facilities as needed
Orientation: 40 hours
Parking: Free employee parking
Patient Population & Unit:
Adult and Geriatric patients
30-bed Med/Surg Tele unit
Average daily census: 27
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 expected
Required Qualifications
Active Compact RN License (required at submission)
Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele RN experience
At least one completed travel assignment (seasoned traveler required)
Epic experience required
Required Certifications
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Required Skills
Candidates should have experience with:
Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
Heparin and IV insulin protocols
Blood product administration
Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV management
Feeding tube care
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Oxygen administration
Phlebotomy
PCA pumps
Wound care/Wound Vac
Rapid Response/Code team participation
Isolation precautions/PPE
Important Submission Requirements
Maximum 7 days of RTO requested upfront
Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
Two professional references covering one year within the last three years are required
