About This Position

Location: 110 N 66th St, Lincoln, NE 68505 - Cross Streets: N 68th St & E 0 St

Status: Full‑Time

Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, seven days a week; rotating weekends and occasional holidays required.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) + monthly productivity bonus

Position Summary

We are seeking a Full‑Time clinician to join our team in Lincoln, NE. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast‑paced, well‑supported urgent care environment.

You'll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real‑time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low‑acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging

Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)

Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR

Code and bill services appropriately

Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks

Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Nebraska license

Board certification as applicable

PA: NCCPA certification

NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)

Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)

Ability to treat patients of all ages

Active BLS certification

EHR proficiency

Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays

DOT certification - willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience

Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)

Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
