About This Position
Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to work on a PRN basis at local long-term care centers throughout South Dakota. This position is ideal for CNAs who enjoy variety, value flexibility, and are comfortable traveling to different facilities based on staffing needs.
The CNA will provide high-quality direct care to residents while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and overall quality of life. Assignments may vary by facility and may include short-term staffing needs, call-offs, census increases, or other coverage requirements. Some short notice shifts may be incentive pay rates as well.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care to residents.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation according to each resident's care plan.
Take and document vital signs and report changes in residents' condition to the appropriate nurse.
Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as permitted by the resident's care plan.
Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Accurately document care provided and communicate important resident information to nursing staff.
Follow facility policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and safety standards.
Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Work collaboratively with nurses, other CNAs, and facility staff.
Adapt quickly to different long-term care environments, routines, and resident needs.
Travel to assigned long-term care facilities throughout the local service area as needed.
Qualifications
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing and eligible to work in South Dakota.
At least 1 year of experience in LTC setting.
Current CPR certification preferred.
Ability to safely perform physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents.
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Dependable, flexible, and willing to work at different facilities on short notice.
Ability to follow individualized care plans and facility procedures.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel between facilities.
PRN Schedule
This is a flexible PRN position.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
