Shift & Schedule
- Variable Day Shift
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid RN licensure appropriate for Nebraska
- Experience in Operating Room nursing preferred
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety protocols
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective care
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery, responding promptly to any changes
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of nursing assessments and interventions
- Educate patients and their families regarding perioperative care and postoperative instructions
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
- Completion of accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Previous OR nursing experience highly desirable
- BLS certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain patient-centered care
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $64.00 - $76.00
