Requirements and Skills
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of South Dakota
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to assess patients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Proficiency in documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop personalized occupational therapy plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' daily living and work skills
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families regarding therapy goals and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice Occupational Therapy
- Prior experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
