Join Our Team as a Pharmacist in Hobbs, NM

We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy professional to join our dynamic healthcare team in Hobbs, NM. Shift/Schedule

Day Shift (4x10 Hours): 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
  • Experience in a community hospital setting preferred
  • IV Certification (required)
  • Licensed Registered Pharmacist (RPh) (required)
  • Expertise in dosing, including:
    • Anticoagulation therapy
    • Cardiac dosing
    • Clinical dosing
    • Pediatric dosing
    • Pharmacokinetic dosing
    • Renal dosing
    • Therapeutic medication monitoring
    • Warfarin dosing
  • Experience with medication dispensing systems, specifically Pyxis
  • Comfortable working in inpatient / acute care environments
  • Intravenous preparation skills including compounding and sterile technique
  • No travel required for this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately in compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards
  • Perform precise dosing assessments in specialized areas such as anticoagulation and cardiac care
  • Monitor therapeutic drug levels and adjust medication regimens accordingly to optimize patient outcomes
  • Utilize Pyxis medication dispensing systems efficiently for inpatient medication management
  • Compound intravenous medications adhering strictly to sterile technique and safety guidelines
  • Document all patient interactions and medication-related activities in the Epic electronic health record system
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an acute care setting
  • Maintain compliance with all licensing, safety, and institutional policies

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure
  • IV Certification demonstrating proficiency in intravenous medication preparation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills essential for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Detail-oriented approach ensuring high standards of accuracy in medication dispensing and dosing
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced inpatient environment
