Join Our Team as a Pharmacy Professional in Hobbs, NM

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacy professional to join our dynamic healthcare team in Hobbs, NM. Shift Details

  • Schedule: Day Shift, 4x10 hours
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience
  • Proficient with Epic charting system (required)
  • IV Certification and RPh licensure (required)
  • Experience in community hospital settings preferred
  • Expertise in inpatient/acute care pharmacy practice (required)
  • Strong skills in dosing including:
    • Anticoagulation therapy
    • Cardiac dosing
    • Clinical dosing
    • Pediatric dosing
    • Pharmacokinetic dosing
    • Renal dosing
    • Therapeutic medication monitoring
    • Warfarin dosing
  • Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing system (required)
  • Proficiency in intravenous preparation, including compounding and sterile technique
  • No travel required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients, ensuring accurate medication dosing and monitoring.
  • Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems effectively for medication management and charting.
  • Prepare and compound intravenous medications adhering strictly to sterile techniques.
  • Conduct therapeutic drug monitoring and adjust regimens for anticoagulation, cardiac, renal, pediatric, and other clinical needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and nurses, to optimize patient medication therapy plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, standards, and regulations to maintain patient safety and quality care.
  • Educate patients, family members, and healthcare providers about medications, potential side effects, and appropriate administration.

Qualifications

  • Valid RPh license and IV Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in inpatient/acute care pharmacy environment.
  • Competence in Epic charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge in dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within healthcare teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety.
