About This Position
Take on a 13-week Travel/Contract assignment as a Cath Lab Technologist in Milwaukie, OR, working night shifts (3x12 hours) with guaranteed hours at 36/week. - Pay: $63.00–$74.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging for Adult Acute Care, including ICU and Emergency Department needs (as applicable to the assignment)
- Complete advanced image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering (maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering)
- Support multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Utilize region of interest measurement (ROI)
- Acquire CT studies for Abdomen and Pelvis (abdomen and/or pelvis without and/or with contrast)
- Acquire CT studies for Head and Neck (carotid, head without and/or with contrast, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head)
- Acquire CT studies for Spine and Musculoskeletal (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma)
- Acquire CT studies for Chest (chest without and/or with contrast; vascular chest such as pulmonary embolism/CTA/aorta)
- Operate required imaging equipment (GE) and use PACS for workflows
- Apply isolation precautions/PPE as required for patient safety
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media per protocol
- Follow radiation safety procedures
- Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture as required for contrast administration
- Document and manage imaging-related workflow within the charting system (Epic preferred)
Requirements
- 1 year of experience
- ARRT CT certification
- ARRT R certification
- BLS certification
- Adult Acute Care experience required
- ICU experience required
- Vascular chest imaging experience required (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
- Starting peripheral IVs required
- Venipuncture required
- Image processing skills required: 3D rendering (maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, volume rendering)
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) required
- Region of interest measurement (ROI) required
- Equipment experience required: GE
- PACS experience required
- Charting system: Epic preferred
- Travel experience required: No
