Requirements

  • Experience: 2 years
  • Charting system: Epic (required)
  • Travel experience: Not required
  • Certifications: ARRT T, BLS

Responsibilities

  • Provide radiation therapy and support adult acute care environments, including teaching hospital requirements
  • Complete chart checks and maintain accurate patient documentation
  • Follow radiation safety practices throughout treatment workflows
  • Perform starting and maintaining IVs (required) as part of patient care
  • Handle emergency cases and defibrillator readiness per protocol
  • Assist with patient/family education and teaching
  • Support patient care when patients are in restraints and coordinate safe lift/transfer device use
  • Support billing for treatment types and devices
  • Use appropriate positioning and beam control techniques, including field shaping (required)

  • Imaging/Beam Modifying & Positioning: CBCT/kV/mV imaging
  • Pretreatment: CT Simulation (required); Simulation of Treatment Sites (required)
  • Treatment Units: Elekta Versa HD
  • Treatment types: External Beam Therapy, IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy), Respiratory Gating
  • Patient populations treated: Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Pancreatic Cancer, Testicular cancer
  • Additional tools/systems: Mosaiq
  • Equipment/support: Lift/transfer devices
